This planet looks
candied. Machines
crawling its granulated
surface. Three-legged
metal walkers. They're
lasering the planet,
cutting the crystals
above the roots,
leaving enough
to grow back. Come
again in a few
million years. It takes
about the same amount
of time for a
crystal to form as it
does a star to die.
